Well, Mikkie’s Angel-versary came and went in the snap of a finger. I’ve thought a lot about how to describe this day… Great? No. Bad? No. It was touching. First word that comes to mind as I think of all that people did to shower us with love and support. I have chills just thinking about it. We invited anyone who wanted to, to join us in the Day of Forgiveness; Releasing white balloons as we thought of someone we will strive to forgive, in memory of Mikayla. I asked anyone to send pictures of their experience and was so touched by each one I received. I was overwhelmed with gratitude.
People all over participated, including (in these pictures below): North Carolina, Louisiana, Utah, Oregon.
Most importantly, we met with some family at her grave to remember her. That is the whole point of this day. Though she is still part of my everyday life, it’s nice to get with loved ones and talk about her and continue to keep her memory alive. That’s very important to me.
Tim, me and my dad shared a few things. Those are her precious little shoes next to me.. we listened to a sweet song about 2 little shoes. I can picture her cute, chubby lil toesies in them.
I’m so grateful for all the support we got in any and every way, we are so very blessed.
I love our little family with all my heart!

I love the last picture….you look gorgeous! I'm sure Mikkie is still extremely happy to have such a loving family and great parents like you and Tim! You are amazing! Also, from your breakfast post..have you ever put a can of pie filling on top of your german pancakes before you baked them? DELCIOUS! :D
