Felt Quiet Book
Two words. Roller Coaster.
That’s been my life lately.
It’s expected with a newborn, but even more crazy with hubby’s asthma, having breathing problems (I hear that’s a pretty vital thing ;), added to his allergy problems (I swear this guy is sensitive to everything under the sun), taking kids and myself to the doctor time after time- pretty sure they memorized our names-, and waking up around 11:30 almost every morning leaving me with barely a day left. No, not due to lack of sleep on baby’s terms, it’s me; He sleeps great, 6-7 hours! Beautiful. It’s my newly found insomniac episodes, resulting in a zombie mama. Not beautiful. It’s been coming in spurts, lasting from a few days to 2 weeks. I’ve been sleeping great this past week only to have it start up again last night! I’m at my wits end! I need my sleep; sleep is important, yes, but especially for me :) I’m a scary person without it, I’ll admit. :) I’m hoping and praying this will come to a halt very soon. I love my sleep!
Amidst all of that going on, and then some, I did manage to get a few things done. This felt quiet book was one of the few projects I finished. I love how it turned out! Forget making this for kids, this would keep ME quiet during church. :) I saw the idea from THIS site. She didn’t have a tutorial or anything so I just winged it and traced it out myself. I like my froggy better though, no offense to that froggy. Faithy agrees :) Hand stitching this whole entire thing took me about 2 weeks (doing it off and on). What else was I supposed to do when I was still recovering and had little to no energy for anything else!
I’m not going to get back strong into blogging but I still wanna post stuff from time to time. I think I’m slowly learning my lesson (among many) that our little ones won’t be little forever and I want to treasure every moment I can with them. My goal: less time at computer, more time with family. It’s crazy how much electronics are taking over our lives. There are screens everywhere you look. Cell phones, iPods, iPads, computers, tv’s…. So much to do, so little time to do it all, so I gotta choose.
